Hearst Castle, CANotice:Hearst Castle is open for tours daily, except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.Description:The Castle - Originally nicknamed "Camp Hill," its wilderness offered a place for family members and friends to "rough it" on camping trips.Important Information:CA State Parks is currently reviewing the March 2010 reservability at this park. It is not currently available for March 2010 reservations. Please check back for more information.Hearst Castle accepts VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. Free day use parking is available for automobiles, motorcycles, tour buses and recreational vehicles. Getting There:Hearst Castle750 Hearst Castle Road San Simeon CA 93452-9740 Hearst Castle is located on California Hwy 1, about halfway between San Francisco and Los Angeles. Driving time from either city is approximately six hours. From Los Angeles, take Hwy 101 north to San Luis Obispo, then Hwy 1 north about 40 miles.
