Getting There:Hearst Castle is located on California Hwy 1, about halfway between San Francisco and Los Angeles. Driving time from either city is approximately six hours.
From Los Angeles, take Hwy 101 north to San Luis Obispo, then Hwy 1 north about 40 miles.
From San Francisco, take Hwy 101 south to Hwy 46 west, then take Hwy 1 north about 13 miles.
